A second set of feed teeth comes down from above and moves the top layer at the same rate the feed dogs move the bottom one, so layers stay together from silk through to a quilt sandwich.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin:0\"\u003eThere is a generous sewing area for a quilt to sit in, and a knee lift so the presser foot goes up without your hands leaving the work. Maxi Stitches run up to 48mm wide, which is broad enough to be the whole design on a border rather than an accent.
