Black Glide thread is a 40wt polyester thread. It has a beautiful high sheen because it was originally designed for machine embroidery. Longarm machine quilters discovered how beautifully it runs on our longarm machines. And now it is a go to thread for longarm quilting.

This thread is a trilobal polyester thread and you'll find consistent tension throughout the cone. The thread runs almost lint-free and shines like a diamond on your quilts!

Black is something you will always need one time or the other. It has a nice shine, the glide thread is a strong polyester thread. I've haven't tried anything else, it's great on the embroidery machine or the longarm. Great service fast shipping.
